Northamptonshire is at the heart of the UK motorsport industry and plays host to world-class industry events throughout the year at venues including Silverstone Circuit, Santa Pod and Rockingham Motor Speedway. Northamptonshire is at the forefront of global motorsport technology development, regularly demonstrating how new techniques and ideas can be successfully applied to support new product development and enhance performance across a range of industry applications around the world. Central to the UK’s transport and business infrastructure and with an entrepreneurial spirit and partnership approach to business support as well as a highly proactive inward investment strategy, Northamptonshire flies the flag in Europe for major growth and forward-thinking. America too has shown great faith in Northamptonshire. Strong US interest comes by way of companies including Ford and Cosworth, the latter investing £20 million in a new manufacturing facility in Northampton this year, creating 70 jobs directly and an estimated 200 jobs in the local supply chain.
